​​​​​​​Pākōwhai School is located halfway between Napier and Hastings making it a perfect location for those seeking a country school feel, close to the city. Our wonderful students are supported by a dedicated Team of Teachers and Support Staff, with a future focused Board of Trustees and an amazing community.

Pākōwhai School has two classrooms. Mrs Redward and Miss Macklow teach our Year 0-2  children while Mrs Eyles and Mrs Dallas teach our Year 3-6 children. Mr Race our Principal teaches extension and special curriculum activities. 

At Pākōwhai School our students are respectful, resilient, confident and curious. 

We offer students a range of opportunities to shine in different areas. Our large school grounds provide ample room for adventurous children to explore and take risks. We pride ourselves on our Inquiry learning, our sparkling swimming pool, our thriving vegetable gardens and our unique rural location.

Pākōwhai School offers a van service to get children to and from school.
